The third Pacific and Caribbean Journalist Invitation Program 2017 was held in October for ten days.
Anime Expert Goes to Barbados
For two days in the beginning of September, AnimeKon, an anime event, took place in Barbados. Associate professor Takahashi from the Japanese college Digital Hollywood University Graduate School gave a presentation at the event an also lectured at the University of the West Indies Cave Hill Campus in Barbados.
Luncheon with Senators from the Federated States of Micronesia
Chancellor Kōso of Sophia School Corporation hosted a luncheon at Sophia University on August 25th. Among those in attendance were Sen. Urusemal, former president of FSM, Ambassador Fritz, and Mr. Kōso, among others.
2017 Pacific Islands Leaders Invitation Program
Vice-chairman Esmond B. Moses and Pohnpei governor Marcelo K. Peterson visited Japan for eight days starting August 6th under the "Pacific Islands Leaders Invitation Program".

Environmental Seminar held at Sophia University
On July 20th, 2017, Sophia University and APIC held a joint environmental seminar. Based on the MoU (memorandum of understanding) signed between the two organizations, this is the fifth of such seminar to be held thus far.
Minister of Education, Youth and Information Invitation Program
From July 9th to 14th the Jamaican Minister of Education, Youth and Information Mr. Ruel B. Reid and five other members were invited to Japan.

On June 15th, 2017, APIC signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Toyo University at a signing ceremony conducted by Mr. Yoshiyasu Sato, President of APIC and Mr. Makio Takemura, President of Toyo University.

On April 21st, towards the end of the Caribbean Leadership Program, a reception party organized by APIC was held at the Tokyo Club.
MoU Signing Ceremony with Tsuda Univesrity
On April 7th, ｔhe president of APIC, Mr.Peter Sato signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) regarding an inclusive education partnership with the president of Tsuda University, Ms.Yuko Takahashi.

The Second the Pacific Youth Leaders program
The Second Pacific Leaders Program will begin on May 27th, 2017. APIC has invited three young leaders from the Republic of Palau and from the Republic of the Marshall Islands.

On October 31, a Caribbean environment seminar was held at the University of the West Indies (UWI) in Jamaica as a series of environment seminars.
Micronecia Students Exchange Program
On 31st October, four students from Junior College of Micronecia arrived at Japan. For three weeks, they took part in the lectures and other activities outside campus with Japanese students at Reitaku University and Sophia University.

Sophia University and Sophia University Junior College Division conducted the second "Micronesian Intercultural Experience Tour" from September 11 to 18 in which eight students participated.

Water Tank Support for the Isolated Islands of Micronesia
APIC has been working together with the MCT to support the restoration business of the drought of Sapwuahfik atoll in Pohnpei, Micronesia. An article about this project has appeared in a newspaper in Micronesia.

Pacific Islands Young Leadership Program
APIC implemented an invitation program called “Pacific Islands Young Leadership Program” from February 21-28, 2016, under which two young leaders were invited from the Federated States of Micronesia, the Republic of the Marshall Islands and Republic of Palau, respectively.

6 journalists from the Pacific Islands visited Japan
APIC invited 6 journalists form the Pacific Islands in collaboration with Foreign Press Center Japan (FPCJ). During this visit, they had a chance to see some of the progressive approach of Japan regarding environmental protection and uses of energy resources with their own eyes.
