Kreitton and Ryu will spend the next four years matriculating in Sophia’s Faculty of Science and Technology, and Shonnelle will spend the following two years researching at Sophia University Graduate School of Environmental Sciences.

The Xavier Exchange Student Scholarship Program was established in 2014 between Xavier High School (located in the Federated States of Micronesia), APIC, and Sophia University, allowing exchange students from Xavier High School to study at Sophia University in Tokyo. To date, seven students have graduated from Sophia University under this program.

The APIC-UWI Exchange Student Scholarship Program aims to develop talent who will contribute to international society through tackling environmental issues facing the Caribbean region by obtaining their master’s degree at Sophia University Graduate School of Global Environmental Studies. The program commenced in 2023 following an agreement signed among UWI (University of the West Indies), Sophia University, and APIC. To date, one student has graduated from Sophia University Graduate School of Environmental Sciences under this program.
