Photo Exhibit at 30th Anniversary of Japan & Micronesia Diplomatic Ties Ceremony

Photographer Floyd Takeuchi’s work was shown in conjunction with the 30th Anniversary of Japan and Micronesia Diplomatic Ties Ceremony (sponsored by the Embassy of the Federated States of Micronesia) on November 2nd, 2018. Mr. Takeuchi’s show titled ‘Micronesia Photo Exhibit: Pacific Light’ was jointly held by the Association for Promotion of International Cooperation (APIC) and the Embassy of the Federated States of Micronesia at the Hotel Okura. The ceremony was well-attended, with around 800 people in attendance.

Visitors to the photo exhibit were able to watch a video about Sophia University’s fourth Micronesia Exposure Tour, which showed scenes from the Micronesia with students and locals interacting and having fun, showing off Micronesia’s abundant nature and people’s warmth.

Current President of the Federated States of Micronesia, Mr. Peter M. Christian and Department of Foreign Affairs Secretary Mr. Lorin S. Robert visited the photo exhibit and spent time looking and commenting on the photos. It is expected that APIC’s activities will expand into the islands of the Federated States of Micronesia.
